The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bruce Edwin Bundy can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Danna D'Esopo Jackson
Condolence: I met Bruce over 40 years ago, when a bus-load of protesters hired a charter and drove down to Madison to demonstrate against the construction of the Marble Hill nuclear power plant. The seats were filled, so Bruce made the round trip standing in the aisle, and we struck up a conversation that, over the years, never ended.
The last time I saw him was at the Courthouse Canopy of Lights, when we visited at Caveat Emptor until it closed and he headed off into the night. Looking after him, I never dreamed that I'd never see him again.
Bruce was one of the very few committed people I've known who didn't simply talk the talk but actually walked the walk. He was genuinely committed to helping others, and the good work that he accomplished will not be forgotten.
We will all miss him so much.

Condolence From: Mark Kruzan
Condolence: Bruce Bundy was quintessentially Bloomington. He was interested in things, cared about issues, informed himself thoroughly, and acted for the betterment of his community. He was rightly skeptical of politicians and government - skeptical, not cynical. Bruce took the time to speak his mind and, I always thought, sincerely believed decision makers could be won over with facts. His is a voice that made a difference and one that will be missed.

Condolence From: Doug Bruce
Condolence: I was so sorry to see notice of Bruce's passing. I lost track of him over the years, but he was the "older" kid down the street on Maxwell Lane back when I was in my youth. Bruce set me upon a course that changed my life, and probably never knew it, or certainly would never take credit for it! He sold me a bicycle-my first bike-one that was not just something you found in a local store, but one that was from Italy, loaded with racing parts you could not buy. That bike gave me purpose and set me on a career of racing and enjoying the countryside. I still have the frame-although a different color now, and have never forgotten how Bruce wanted me to understand that his bike; now my bike, was a serious machine that would allow me to see the world in a healthy way. Bruce, rest in peace my friend, and thank you.
