Marjorie L. Dreher, 87, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at IU Health Hospice House.
Born, August 10, 1931 in Bloomington; she was the daughter of the late Estel and Elizabeth (Cummings) Lawrence.
Marjorie was the head cashier and managed the accounting for Big Red Food Mart in Bloomington.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing slot machines at the casino's. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Barrow (Gary) of Bloomington; grandchildren, Gary Lee Barrow (Mandy) of Bloomington; Melissa Coppage (Rick) of Walton, KY; Samuel Barrow of Bloomington; Donnie Chambers (Jamie) of Sevierville, TN; and Jamie Chambers of Ellettsville; Jason Chambers of Florida; and Billy Chambers of Bloomington, one brother, James Lawrence (Tammy) of Bloomington; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Bailey Barrow, Tori and Tyson James, Brayden and Shea Barrow, Keegan Chambers-Crum, and Peyton Chambers, great great-grandchildren, Raycee Elaine Hall Emmett Ray Barrow.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her son, Donald W. Chambers, great-granddaughter, Emma Rae Barrow, four sisters, Mildred Carpenter, Barbara Perry, Ellen Peyton, and Catherine Gill, great-granddaughter, Yarlea Chambers-Crum and her special friend, Ken Allen Fleener.
Visitation will be 4-8pm Friday, May 3, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mickey Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
