Obituary for Lady Ann Loudenback

Lady Ann Loudenback died peacefully in her sleep on October 29, 2019 in Bloomington, IN at the age of 89.
Lady Ann is survived by her daughter Laura (Greg) Mutz and her grandsons, Andrew (Ashley) and Geoff Minger. She is preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Halpin, her son Bradley Loudenback and her daughter, Rebecca Loudenback.
Lady Ann was born September 26, 1930 in Jonesboro, AR to Rheba and John Halpin. She graduated with a B.A. in English Literature from Purdue University and received a M.A. in English from Indiana University.
She grew up in St Louis and lived in Bloomington for 52 years where she was an English teacher at Bloomington High School South.
Lady Ann had a deep affection for the dogs in her life and loved gardening and everything botanical.
She was a life-long student of Emily Dickinson, poet laureate, and was an accomplished genealogist, especially of her Irish roots.
A private service is planned at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington is handling all the arrangements.
