Obituary for James P Daniel
James P. Daniel, 97, Spencer, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at IU Health Hospice House. James was born February 21, 1922 in Monroe County, Indiana the son of the late John and Emma (Brashaber) Daniel.
James was employed at Sarkes Tarzian for over forty years and a Farmer. He was one of the founders of Crisp Assembly of God in Owen County and a member of American Legion Post 285 in Spencer, Indiana, White River Valley Antique Machinery Association, Brown County Antique Machinery and the Owen County Farm Bureau.
Survivors: three sons, Roger (Donna) Daniel of Spencer, Indiana, Larry (Julie) Daniel of Ellettsville, Indiana and Joseph (Donna) Daniel of Spencer, Indiana; one daughter, Naomi Ryan of Stafford, Missouri; sister-in-law, Martha Daniel of Bloomington, Indiana; nineteen grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Daniel; son, William Albert Daniel and four siblings.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Clear Creek Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Ooley officiating. Military Graveside Services will be provided by the Monroe County Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to IU Health Hospice House.
