Obituary for Vera June Payne
Vera June Payne, 80, of Bloomington passed away peacefully at home on December 10th, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 11, 1939 she was the daughter of Orville and Margaret (Palmer) Eads. June married John W. Payne on March 18,1955 and was married for 61 years until John`s death in 2016. June retired from MCCSC Food Services after 27 years of service.
Survivors include her children, Teresa St. John (Fred), Ladonna Jo Payne, Ginger Adkisson (Donnie), son in-law, Dick Mcclung (Joan and Family), sisters, Linda Edwards, Joyce Parrish (Kenny), brothers, Christopher (Alice) and Jeff (Barb) Eads, grandchildren, Jennifer (Andrew) Benson, Maggie (Matt) Burks, Wes Daniel, Bryce (Emily) Adkisson, Shelby Mcclung, Nick (Kassie) Cmehil, and Brittney (Matt) Star, great-grandchildren,Ellie, Anna, Madison, Miley, Mackenzie, Mason, Kenzley, Ethan, Zoey, and Oliver.
June is preceded in death by her children, Johnny Payne and Tammy McClung. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, and best friend, Jean Seguin.
Visitation 4-8pm Friday, December 13, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Saturday at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Fred Stanger officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
