Condolence: Our Daddy Kept a Garden.

Our Daddy kept a garden.
A garden of the heart;
He planted all the good things,
That gave our lives their start.

He turned us to the sunshine,
And encouraged us to dream:
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem.

And when the winds and rain came,
He protected us enough;
But not too much because he knew
We would stand up strong and tough.

His constant good example,
Always taught us right from wrong;
Markers for our pathway that will last
a lifetime long.

We are our Daddy's garden,
We are his legacy.

(author unknown)

Thank you Daddy we love you.

Condolence From: Luetta Mercier
Condolence: My sincere condolences to your family during this difficult time. In my role as a teacher at Bloomington High School South I was privilege to know Tricia as a student as well as a friend as I followed with pride her many accomplishments after graduation. It was very evident in her actions and conversation how much her family meant to her. So from these conversations I feel I became acquainted with her family. May you, Tricia, Betsy, Anita and Annette be comforted and find peace from all the special memories you hold in your heart. God bless and keep you.

Condolence: Excerpt from Harold and Maude a film by Hal Ashby

Maude lays in the back of an ambulance, dying.

Harold sits, with tears in his eyes, next to Maude. He composes himself and mutters, "Maude..... I love you!"

Maude smiles and says her last words of the film, "Awww Harold.. That's great.. Now GO AND LOVE SOME MORE."

My Papa was one of the strongest men I've ever met. I will never watch a John Wayne film, go fishing, or eat thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner without him next to me.

I shared the excerpt because even though Harold and Maude is a film about death, it's the most life affirming movie I've ever seen. And my Papa would want nothing more than for us to go on living our lives by loving everyone the way we loved him.

Unfortunatly I'm not able to be with my family during this time, which is difficult but I know I can't do anything about it. Even though I'm far geographically, I'm right there spiritually.

I will never forget how much he made me the man I am today. For that I am forever thankful. My papa was a great man. I love you and will miss you.

Condolence: Bob was (is) my only brother. There is 18 yrs difference in our age so we really didn't grow up together but I truly love my brother. I will miss him. I am very thankful that we got to spend this past Thanksgiving together and he really enjoyed the food even though he was not feeling the greatest. I will always have that memory. Betsy, Anita, Annette and Tricia along with my other siblings will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless all of us with peace and comfort knowing that Bob is in a better place and not hurting.

Condolence From: Christ Drossos
Condolence: Dear Betsy, Anita, Annette, and Tricia, We are so so sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was one of the good guys. Bob's kindness and concern for his friends and family will always be remembered. He would do anything for you, all you had to do was ask and sometimes you didn't even have to do that. I will never forget how he and Betsy were there for Dee and Fred and now Dee when times were really tough. I also know how much he liked to come over to Dee's for Ham and Beans! I could never get any leftovers!

Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I know that I am a better person having known Bob. I will never forget him. God Bless you all.
