Obituary for Marcella E Smith

Marcella E. Smith, 101, of Bloomington passed away on Wednesday January 21, 2015 at Monroe Hospital. Marcella was born November 20, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Henry E. and Sadie A. (Werth) Schumudde and had worked at Sarkes Tarzian. She was a member of Woodhaven Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Norma Jamison (Ivan) and William “Bill” Ballew (Patricia) both of Bloomington, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Henry E. Smith (1991), her parents, an infant son and two grandchildren. Services for Marcella will be 11:00 am Saturday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastor Steve Baker will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time at The Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Marcella’s memory may be given to: Woodhaven Christian Church.
