Alberta Virginia "Jenny" Evans (Stidd)
Alberta Virginia “Jenny” Evans, 87, of Bloomington passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born, September 26, 1928 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of James David and Emma Pearl (Carroll) Stidd.
Jenny was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Alan Evans (Ginny) of Ellettsville, Steve Evans (Pam) of Bedford, three daughters, Linda Hinkle (Ken) of Bridgeport, OH; Brenda Jean (Mike) of Georgetown, TX; Diana Kemp of Bloomington, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren, one sister, Mary Shields of Ellettsville, sister-in-law, Janet Branam of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews.
Jenny was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Evans (2004), two sisters, Frances Decker, Davelene Vaughn, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter and one great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be 12:00-1:00pm Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Family Life Church, 5925 N. Maple Grove Bloomington, IN 47408.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm at the church with Pastor Rick Whiteman officiating.
Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401.
