Obituary for
Rebie Marie Anderson
Rebie Marie Anderson, 96, of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday April 2, 2016 at the IU Health Hospice House. Rebie was born October 7, 1919 in Freesoil, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Signe (Erickson) Rives.
Rebie married Rev. L.G. Anderson in 1941 and together they ministered area churches since the 1960’s. She loved her family and the Lord. Rebie was a multi talented musician and played several instruments. She taught piano, violin and guitar. Rebie retired from Columbus Regional Hospital where she worked in Patient Admissions. Rebie attended Shepherd of the Hills Wesleyan Church. While a resident at Bell Trace Health and Living Center she played the piano for the Sunday afternoon church services.
Survivors include 4 children; Beverly Hill (John) of Bloomington, Paul Anderson (Ramona) of Bamberg, South Carolina, Mary Thornton (Tom) of Jacksonville, Florida and Philip Anderson of Bloomington. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.
Rebie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, her husband, Rev. L.G. Anderson, and great granddaughter, Mya Rose Anderson-Brophy.
Visitation for Rebie will be from 5-8 pm Thursday April 7, 2016 and 10:00 am until service time on Friday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington.
Services will be 11:00 am Friday at The Funeral Chapel with John Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Rebie’s family would like to thank the Staff at Bell Trace especially Kristen Nickell and Terry Sprinkle and the Staff of IU Health Hospice House for all of their loving care to their mother over the past 2 years.
