Obituary for James D. Ragle

James D.  Ragle
James D. Ragle, 89, of Bloomington passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at his residence.
Born, August 17, 1927 in Smithville, IN; he was the son of the late Marie (Phillips) Ragle and Arlie Owen Ragle.
He was a 1946 graduate of Bloomington High School, and retired from RCA after 40 years of employment.
James was a longtime member of the Unionville Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon and Treasurer.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, James enjoyed sharing his needlepoint and woodworking skills with the friends and family that he loved.
Survivors include one daughter, Tamara Ragle (Ron Morris) of Bedford, MA; one son, Brad Ragle (Laurie) of Bloomington, one grandson, Wilson Ragle of Bloomington, one sister, Helen Hesson (Jay) of Templeton, CA; one uncle, Bert Phillips (Karen) of Bloomington, and a sister-in-law, Dolly Ragle of Tiffin, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma (Galyan) Ragle (1997), and one brother, Arlie Owen Ragle Jr (Dolly).
Visitation will be 11am-2pm Friday, December 2, 2016 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday at The Funeral Chapel with Allen Ketchersid officiating. Burial will follow at Bridge Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Unionville Church of Christ, Wheeler Missions Ministries, or to Community Kitchen of Monroe County in care of The Funeral Chapel.
