Obituary for
Robert "Bobby" Radicke
Robert "Bobby" Lee Radicke, 69, most recently of Bloomington, IN, and previously of Carthage, TX, died on January 2, 2017, surrounded by loved ones, at Hospice House in Bloomington, IN.
He was born on March 15, 1947 in Gillett, Texas to Robert Lee Radicke and Goldie Radicke. He
graduated from Yancey High School in 1965. Most of his working life was spent in the oil fields
working his way up from roughneck to drilling supervisor for Texaco, where he received
recognition for safety practices, achieving a million man hours without an accident under his
supervision.
His heart was always with his family and the multitude of creatures he raised and nurtured
including cattle, Percheron horses, and his beloved and faithful sidekick, Charlie the poodle.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Radicke, sons, Jeffrey Radicke of Denison, TX, Aaron Radicke
of Austin, TX and Joshua Radicke of Bloomington, IN; and three grandchildren, Emileigh
Radicke, Andrew Radicke, and Talia Radicke. He was preceded in death by his parents and his
son, Mark Radicke.
In accordance with his wishes, his legacy will live on with the donation of his remains to the
Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center. In lieu of flowers, his memory would be best served by a donation to a food bank, animal shelter, or other charity of your choice.
