Condolence: When Norma lived in Syracuse, she volunteered for Read Out, the radio reading service for print handicapped people, and I was lucky enough to be her supervisor. What a good person she was. Always concerned with everyone's welfare and happiness. Norma, Ruth Redmond, her reading partner for 25 plus years, and I went to lunch every Tuesday after they got done reading the Post Standard for 27 years. When I retired, I put myself on the recording schedule to read magazines on Tuesday mornings so we could continue with our Tuesday lunches without interruption. Norma loved her family and doted on her only grandchild, Harry. Living in Bloomington with him nearby was a real treat for her. I have missed her dearly since she moved away. I will treasure her friendship and memory forever.

Condolence: I remember Norma so well. I was the volunteer director at Crouse Hospital and she was a top notch volunteer. I always looked forward to "Norma days". She was devoted to her volunteer service and set a very high standard. I appreciated her even temperament and her great people skills, especially with people who were either patients or visitors. And was she ever wise......she was one of my "go to" people for sound advice. We missed her when she left Syracuse but admired her outlook and wished her well.

Condolence: I worked with Norma back in the mid 1980's when I was in my early twenties. Norma was such a kind, caring person. I have only fond memories of her. God bless.

Condolence: Norma was our neighbor in Fayetteville, and a dear friend to me. I tended to her yard each spring, and later she helped with one of my home restorations in Syracuse. Her one comment to me I shall always remember, and thank her for. While troubling over the financial part of the restoration, she told me that she would deal with that, and that I am an artist, just do what I do best. I am not sure artist is correct, but it was a compliment I shall never forget. Good by, dear friend.

Condolence: Norma was a Bell Trace neighbor, one who I found to be congenial and I observed to be involved in the community. Since she had moved to an alien area from New York, I "picked her brain" as I prepared to move to Virginia. She was forthright and informative and of help as I made my move. She loved her family, speaking often of her then Rice student grandson. May her family find solace as she has left for eternity. Harmon Baldwin Richmond, VA
