Lucia V. (Altha)  Cox
Lucia Victoria (Altha) Cox, 76, of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday June 4, 2017 at the IU Health Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Lucia was born July 21, 1940 in Monroe County and was the daughter of the late Alva and Annie (McGlocklin) Grubb. Lucia was a graduate of Bloomington High School and later worked for General Electric and Head Start. She was a member of the Family Life and Worship Center and loved to be outdoors and exercise.
Lucia is survived by her children; Debbie Hoene (Emmett), Cathy Robinson (Glen), Tammie Wise (Greg), George Cox (Shane) and Bobby Cox (Carrie), grandchildren; TJ Hayes (Angie), Amanda Robinson, Robbie Wise, Rob (BJ) Cox, Justin Robinson (Charity) , Cory Cox, Molly Cox, Sam Wise and Tracy Rothrock (Mark), great grandchildren; Tyler Hayes, Nick Hayes, Bradley Hayes, Isiah Hayes, Harris Robinson, Mayla Robinson, Michael Rothrock (Amanda), Chantel Faltless (Mikel) , Isaiah Cox, Eli Cox, Braydon Cox, Cody Cox, Shelbi Cox and Calie Cox, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Lucia was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother Alva Grubb Jr., brothers, Roger Grubb, Kenneth Grubb and James Eugene Grubb and sisters, Glodene Hamm, Norma Jean (Wilma) Harden and Verdie Grubb.
Services for Lucia will be 11:00 am Friday June 9, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastor Tracy Noel will officiate the service and burial will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday June 8, 2017 from 4-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel and from 10:00 am until service time on Friday.
