Carolyn S. Robinson (Wood)
Carolyn S. (Wood) Robinson, 76, of Bedford passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born, February 15, 1941 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Alpha Mae (Dewar) Wood.
Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who loved working in her flower beds, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed being employed at Cook Inc., RCA kitchen staff and the IU Maxi Center.
Carolyn was a member of the Westside Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Kenneth A. Robinson, daughters, Kim Nethery (Mark), Shelly Raines (Otto), and Marjorie A. Robinson, grandchildren, Candace Clark (Andrew), Stephanie Morrow (Joe Flynn), Heather Jordan (Jeff), Bailey Taylor (Tim VanMeter), and Jeremy Raines, nine great-grandchildren, sisters, Barbara Schoolcraft (Norman), Linda Mitchner (Randall), and many nieces and nephews and her beagle dog Daisy.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Lowell, Jim, Leroy, Robert Eugene, and Richard Leon Wood, sisters, Mary Wood, Martha Stogsdill, Patty Harrelson, Jeanette Larimer, Betty Smith, Wilma Pate, Phyllis Adkins, Alice Turpin, and Nancy Mitchell.
Visitation will be 12-2pm Tuesday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rick Owensby officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Humane Society of one's choice.
