John Wayne Sexton
John Wayne Sexton, 25, of Bloomington passed away on Saturday September 9, 2017 as a result of a dirt bike accident. John was born May 21, 1992 in Bloomington and was the son of Rickie Frank and Suzanne (Rodman) Sexton.
John attended University Elementary, Tri North Middle School and Bloomington High School North. John worked for Indiana University Facilities. He loved the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, working on cars, big trucks, and classic cars. He especially loved his fur baby Maxwell and his mom’s home cooking.
John is survived by his parents, Rickie and Suzanne Sexton of Bloomington, sister, Emily Sexton (Wayne James) of South Bend, IN, brother Nathan Elliott Scalf (Shannon Kutsch) of West Lafayette, IN, maternal grandmother, Nancy Rodman of Columbus, IN and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and countless friends.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Max Rodman and paternal grandparents, Pauline and Leonard Fleener.
Services for John will be 10:30 am Thursday September 14, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastor Roy Hughes will officiate the service and burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held 2-8 pm Wednesday September 13, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel.
