Abe Jeffery Lynn "Big Red" Werner
Abe Jeffery Lynn “Big Red” Werner, 56, of Bowling Green passed away on Thursday at IU Health Methodist Hospital. Jeff was born October 22, 1961 in Berea, Kentucky and was the son of Albert and Sophia (Hicks) Werner.
Jeff was a truck driver and worked at Indiana University for 25 years and later retired from Gordon Food Service. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and attended Apostolic Bible Church. Jeff was a “Country Boy” and loved to hunt, fish and ride horses. He had Werner’s Pine Hill Huskies with his daughter, and was a avid follower of the Just For Fun Band.
Survivors include his wife Juanita Werner , daughter, Rikki Luttrell (Brian), twin sons, Jeffrey Werner (Kirsten) and Trevor Werner, 6 grandchildren; Torren Luttrell, Tori Luttrell, Aubrey Werner, Colton Werner, Cheyene Werner and Jeffrey Werner Jr., his mother, Sophia Werner, 3 sisters; Karen Smith (Charlie), Debbie Werner, and Lisa Jackson, and one brother Joe Werner (Laura Jane Brinegar), the mother of his children, Joanne Werner and his sister-in-law Roslyn Perry who he loved and adored very much and was his prayer partner.
Preceding Jeff in death were his father and grandmother, Myrtle Lorraine Hicks.
Services for Jeff will be 2:00 pm Wednesday November 1, 2017 at The Apostolic Bible Church, 3291 S. Walnut St. Pike, Bloomington. Pastor Duane Coffman will officiate the service and burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday October 31, 2017 from 4-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington and from 1:00 pm until service time on Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions in Jeff’s memory may be given to The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard to assist the family with expenses.
