Obituary for Jeffrey "Jeff" Lloyd

Jeffrey (Hanson) Lloyd, 67 of Bloomington, Indiana died peacefully on Thursday Dec 7, 2017 at the IU Hospice House in Bloomington. Jeff was born in Bloomington, Indiana and was the son of Richard L and Betty Jo (Hanson) Lloyd.
Jeff had many friends and never met a stranger. He knew the value of family and lasting friendships. His quick wit, sly smile and the twinkle in his eye would always brighten everyone’s day. He loved being outdoors in the warm sun and enjoyed many years on his boat at Lake Monroe where he made many lifelong friendships.
He worked in the banking/lending industry his entire career at various banking institutions before retiring in 2013. Jeff enjoyed working with commercial/small business lending and built a client base who loyally followed him throughout his career.
Jeff was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl (Hill) Lloyd, Jeff’s daughters Stefanie McCrea (Aaron) grandsons Grant and Cooper, Mackenzie Lloyd (fiancé Jordan Miller), step-daughters Kristin Lewis (Eric), Kelsey Miller (Matthew), stepson Andrew Blake and step-grandchildren Benjamin, Ellie, William and Madalyn along with his brothers Greg Lloyd (Cindie), and Tim Lloyd (Marcia) and a loving extended family including many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his oldest brother Randy, his parents Richard and Betty Jo Lloyd and his four legged fur friend, Lady.
A Celebration of Life for Jeff will be held on Monday, December 18th, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, Indiana. Family and friends will be received from 2:00-4:00pm.
A memorial service will immediately follow at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Fenstermacher officiating.
The family would like to extend their warmest thanks to all those involved in Jeff’s care. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, IU Hospice House or Area 10 on Aging.
