Obituary for LoRetta J. Lane

LoRetta Jeanne Lane, 68, of Bloomington, passed away on Friday December 22, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. LoRetta was born April 1, 1949 in Bloomington and was the daughter of the late Dale and Ina (Duke) Terrell.
She worked for 40 years at Fairview Elementary School as a Cook and a Teachers Aid. She was a babysitter to many children over the years and loved to do crafts and ceramics in the room adjacent to her house. She loved cooking and baking and made many meals and treats for the teachers at Fairview. She also sold Avon for several years.
LoRetta is survived by her 3 children; Rhea Dawn Lane-Rains (Daniel) of Solsberry, Ronald Lane (Debby Wesner) of Odon, and Randall Lane (Heather) of Bloomfield. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren; Danielle Pate (Josh), April James (Seth), Clayton Rains (Kayla), Ashton Lane, Randall Joseph Lane II, Emily Lane, Braydon Wesner, and Addyson Wesner, 9 great grandchildren, and her brother Tony Terrell (Glenda) of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Eugene Lane, sister, Rickey Lovell, brother, Terry Terrell, granddaughter, Alba Pate.
Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday December 27, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Tuesday December 26, 2017 and on Wednesday from noon until service time.
