Obituary for James Lowell "Jim" Hall

James Lowell Hall, 84, of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018 at his residence. Jim was born October 31, 1933 in Monroe County and was the son of the late Lester and Violet Marie (Freeman) Hall.
Jim worked as an Electrician in Maintenance at RCA for over 39 years. He loved being outside and enjoyed driving through the country looking at nature, bicycling, walking and working in his flower garden. He played golf twice a week until the age of 80 when his health began to decline.
He married Marcia Ann (Baker) Hall and they were married over 50 years until her passing in 2006. Also preceeding Jim in death were his parents, son Gregory R. Hall and 3 brothers, Carl Hall, Wayne Hall and Larry Joe Hall.
Jim is survived by his children, Jimmy Hall of Bloomington and Sarah A. Goebel (Jonathan) of Trona, CA, 5 grandchildren, Ginger Gill, Jason Webb, J.B. Hall, Chad Hall and Shawn Hall, 2 great grandchildren, Alexander Gill and Cole Hall and a brother Terry Hall of Bloomington and sister, Diane Woodward of Bloomington.
Services for Jim will be 1:00 pm Thursday January 25, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastors Sarah and Jonathan Goebel will officiate the service with burial following at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Thursday.
Memorial contributions may be given in Jim's memory to the American Cancer Society.
