Brenda J.(Bowlen) White
Brenda Joyce (Bowlen) White, 77, of Bloomington, passed away on Thursday January 25, 2018 at Meadowood Health Pavilion surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was born November 26, 1940 in Monroe County and was the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Kinser) Bowlen.
Brenda worked for the Circle Drive Inn while in school and later worked at RCA and Sarkes Tarzian. Brenda became an LPN and worked for Dr. Kermit Hibner before retiring from Meadowood.
Survivors include her husband James G. White, 2 sons; J.D. Boruff (Danielle) and Kevin Bowlen, 3 step daughters; Stephanie Maloney (Patrick), Michelle Wellman (Brett), and Kimberly White (Melissa Orr),7 grandchildren; Hannah Smith, John William Boruff, Phillip Maloney (Heather), Dylan Maloney (Sarah Nichols), Kara Maloney, Ashley Thacker (Tommy), and Zachary Wellman (Jessica), one great grandson, Forrest Thacker, one sister Norma Baugh, and 2 brothers; Dan Bowlen and Don Bowlen.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters; Ruth Van Pelt, Betty McCullough, and Bonnie Wever, and 3 brothers; Bill Bowlen, Jim Bowlen and Mike Bowlen.
Services for Brenda will be 11:00 am Tuesday January 30, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastor Jay Temples will conduct the service and burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday January 29, 2018 from 4-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel and Tuesday from 10:00 am until service time.
Brenda's family would like to thank Meadowood for their care and support. Brenda loved her time at Meadowood and the people she worked with.
