Obituary for Paul Andrew Buehler

Paul Andrew Buehler passed peacefully into eternity on Monday, April 2nd, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington after a valiant two-and-a-half-year battle against pancreatic cancer at the age of 52.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Linda (Teter), his son Bryan and wife Courtney (Pace) and daughter Brianna; his mother Shirley Junkins and step father David Junkins his father William “Bill” Buehler and step mother Ruth Buehler; his five brothers and sisters-in-law Eric and Brenda (Halliday), Kurt and Annie (Brinson), Greg and Suzanne (Ahrenholz), John and Jennifer (Schuetz), Mark and Christine (Bloomfield); his mother-in-law Maxine Teter; his sisters-in-law and their husbands Nancy and Rick McCool, Marcia and Tim Powers.
Of special importance to Paul were his many nephews and nieces, whom ‘he loved to pieces’: Matt (Avital) and Nick Buehler (children of Eric Buehler), Kelsy Webber (Michael), Clarissa, Samuel, Jada, and Joseph Buehler (children of Kurt Buehler), Ryan and Arianna Buehler (children of Greg Buehler), Grace, Olivia, Ella, and Charlotte Buehler (children of John Buehler), Isabella, Ben, and Sara Buehler (children of Mark Buehler), Amy Sexton (David ), Ricky McCool (children of Nancy McCool), and Thomas and Kari O'Malia (fiancé Evan Brock)(children of Marcia Powers).
Paul was born on August 17, 1965 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Shirley (Junkins) and William Buehler. He attended Bloomington High School North (class of 1983) and graduated from Vincennes University. He furthered his education with a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University. Paul moved to Indianapolis to work for AT&T and met the love of his life, Linda, at the church he was attending. They were married in 1987 and began creating their beautiful family. Paul and Linda moved to Ellettsville and began working at Otis Elevator and then eventually at Crane where he worked for many years as a Systems Administrator. Paul was an active and dedicated member of Ellettsville Christian Church where he served as an Elder. He especially loved his long-time small group. Paul made and maintained many friendships over the years and was loved by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 6 from 3-7pm and Saturday, April 7 from 1:30-2:30pm at Ellettsville Christian Church. The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 7 at 2:30pm also at Ellettsville Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Ellettsville Christian Church. The family would like to thank Paul’s many visitors and the amazing caregivers of IU Health Bloomington Hospital Cancer Services and IU Health Hospice House.
