Obituary for Wilma "June" Reeves Cain

Wilma “June” Reeves Cain, left her earthly home Thursday, April 26, 2018 to join her loved ones in Heaven.
June was born on March 8, 1936, to Everett and Mildred (Conner) Reeves. She was a homemaker and retired from Indiana University after 19 years of service.
June loved spending time with her family, going to garage sales and crocheting, June enjoyed a quiet simple life.
It was while she worked at IU she met her best friend and companion Jim Cowger. They spent more than 35 years together traveling and enjoying each other’s company.
To greet June at heaven's gate was her companion Jim Cowger, her youngest son Michael Lee Cain, her parents Everett and Mildred Reeves, her brothers Donald (Donnie) Reeves and Ralph “Buck”Reeves two infant brothers Steven Wayne and Everett Eugene Reeves. One Granddaughter Melissa Cain.
June is survived by her son Don Everett Cain and wife Karen, Granddaughter and caregiver Amy Bowling and husband Eric and their children Isabella and Issac, Grandsons Matthew Cain and wife Brittannee their children Madison, Macey and Huxlee, Jarrod Cain and wife Heather their children Hadlee and Sarah , granddaughter Laura Lucas and husband Brad their children Parker and Hadley, Michelle Hart- and husband Phillip and her children Jordyn, Reagan, and Riley Keift, One brother Dennis Reeves and one sister Martha Frame and husband Gary, along with several cousins including Maxine Tieman whom she grew up with and enjoyed a close life long friendship. Several nephews and nieces all of whom she loved so very much.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have won the race I have kept the faith.
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness
Which the Lord the righteous Judge shall give me on that day
Not but to me only but to all them who love his appearing!
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, April 30, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN 47401. Burial will follow at Knightridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11am-1pm prior to the service on Monday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
