Obituary for Donald Ellis Davis

Donald Ellis Davis of Bloomington, died on Saturday May 26. 2018 at Bell Trace Health and Living Center. He was born on January 20, 1928 in Boone County, Indiana. He was the son of Vernon and Esther (Edwards) Davis.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lou Anna (Wyatt) Davis, his brother Norman and his sister Gene Walker.
His survivors include his daughter, Jane Ann Holcomb, two grandsons, Robert and Matthew Haseman and four great grand children, Zachary, Ethan, Sydnee, and Tyler
Don retired from Allstate Insurance Company in 1988 after 30 years with the company. He was a volunteer at Bloomington Hospital for 25 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #22 F&A.M. and Elks Lodge #446. Don was also a member of First Christian Church.
Visitation will be on Thursday May 31, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00.
Don's wishes were to be cremated and private interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Don's memory to First Christian Church.
