Obituary for Patricia Ann Bayer (Laughlin)

Patricia Ann Bayer (Laughlin)
Patricia L. Bayer, 88
July 28, 1929 – July 25, 2018
Patricia Ann (Laughlin) Bayer, 88 of Bloomington died peacefully at her home in the Meadowood Retirement Community, three days shy of her 89th birthday.
Born in Connersville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Robert Leonard and Sarah Kathleen (McKee) Laughlin. She had one sister, Marilyn (Bam) Benning of Corpus Christi, TX.
Patricia was married to Robert Conrad Bayer of Fort Wayne, IN, with whom she raised one son, Thomas Conrad Bayer, of Alexandria, VA.
A graduate of Mississippi University for Women; having attended Stephens College and Indiana University; Patricia was a dedicated and accomplished office administrator, genealogist, salesperson, tax preparer, organization treasurer, spouse, parent, and homemaker. Over the years, Patricia and Robert called several cities and towns in Indiana home, as well as: Agawam, Massachusetts; Columbus, Mississippi; and Asti, Italy.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Patricia is survived by her loving family including her husband of 61 years, Robert; son Thomas and wife Emily (Cole) and their children Cassidy and Clark, all of Alexandria, VA; stepchildren Andrea Kay and Robert Conrad II, and their children Matthew, Timothy, Emily, and Andrew—and their spouses and children; and numerous first and second cousins, nieces, and nephews in Indiana, Texas, and elsewhere across the United States.
Memorial services will be conducted later in the fall.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia’s name to Trinity Episcopal Church in Bloomington.
