Obituary for John Sutcliffe Talbott Sr.

John Sutcliffe Talbott died in Bloomington, Indiana on August 25th, of old age. John was a native of Middlesboro, Bell County, KY and served with the US Navy during World War II. Along with his wife of 55 years, Ginny Duffy, he helped co-found the Saint Vincent DePaul Society of Hamilton County where they both volunteered for more than 20 years. But most importantly, John/Dad/Grandpa/Uncle John will be remembered by family, friends and acquaintances as the nicest, funniest guy they ever knew.
He is survived by his sisters: Emily Gorham, Helen Rundle, Patty Mulheisen, and Joan Sullivan; his children: Emily Virginia, John Sutcliffe Jr., Mary Elizabeth, Paul Duffy, and Mark Edward; his daughter-in-law DeLeigh and grandchildren John Sutcliffe III and Madeleine. A private family gathering will be held in Lexington Kentucky on September 15th. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society and the ASPCA.
