Obituary for
Gerardo S. Viloria
Gerardo S. Viloria, 77, of Bloomington and formerly of Venezuela passed away on Friday July 13, 2012 at I.U. Health Hospice House. Gerardo was born July 24, 1934 in Valera, Venezuela and was the son on Juan J. and Maria R. Viloria. Gerardo was very proud to be a 1961 graduate of the University of Michigan with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. Gerardo worked as an Electrical Engineer and was past president of his Rotary Club in Venezuela and a member of the Chamber of Commerce there. He came back to this country 7 years ago and became a citizen because he loved the United States and wanted to spend his final days here. He is survived by his wife Dalila Viloria of Bloomington, five children Maria Cogswell of Germany, Dalila Valdivieso of Barcelona, Venezuela, Maria A. Viloria of Bloomington, Gerardo S. Viloria of Anaco, Venezuela and Jose` G. Viloria of Bloomington. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Juan J. Palacios, Gerardo A. Palacios, Juan P. Palacios, Jennifer Valdivieso, Mariana Valdivieso, Sergio E. Valdivieso, Claudia A. Viloria, Lennismar Viloria and Lismary S. Viloria. The “Novenario” will begin on Monday July 16, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the St. Paul Catholic Center, 1413 E. 17th Street, Bloomington, and continue until the funeral service which will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at 6:00 pm at the St. Paul Catholic Center.
