Obituary for
Mary Alice Crider
Mary Alice Crider, 81, died on February 11, 2014 at Richland Bean Blossom Healthcare from stomach cancer. She was born March 28, 1932 to Marion and Mildred (Wray) Crider who preceded her in death. Mary loved to go to church and was a member of West 11th Street Pentecostal Church. She loved her bible and listening to the old gospel hymns. She loved to grow things, beautiful flowers and plants. Mary loved helping people, sometimes to a fault, borrowing money to help others in need. Mary worked at RCA for 42 years. She loved taking her black standard poodle Molly for walks on the B-Line Trail. Everyone knew Mary and Molly. Mary was also preceded in death by her sister Geneva E. Greene and a beloved nephew Travis Crider. She is survived by her sister Patty Margie Crider and her brother George M. Crider. Having no children of her own she loved her nieces and nephews, April Crider, Geneva Duncan, Michael Hall, Shirley Kirby, and Paul Greene. She is also survived by many great, great great, and great great great nieces and nephews. She left behind her black standard poodle Molly, who is with the fine people who took her to live with them. Mary will be loved and missed by all her family and friends. Services for Mary will be 2 pm Friday February 14, 2014, at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastor Michael Douglas will officiate the service and burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday February 13, 2014 and Friday from 12 pm until service time at The Funeral Chapel.
