Alta Marie Nethery, 87, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, February 7th 2015 at Hearthstone Health Campus. Born January 30th, 1928, she was the daughter of Theodore and Inez (Deweese) Jones. Alta was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship and previously a member of Westside Assembly of God. She was a Sunday School teacher for 38 years. Survivors include her daughter Patti Crouch (Jere) of Ellettsville, grandson Brant Crouch, granddaughter Sasha Purcell (Matt), great-grandchildren Hannah and Tori Crouch, Connor and Chloe Purcell, step-son Bill Nethery (Teresa), all of Bloomington, step-grandchildren Jason Nethery, Jessica Nethery, Brandy Nethery, Amber Parker (Logan), step-greatgrandchildren Peyton and Harper Nethery, and Lila and Avery Parker, sisters Ruby Pope of Bloomington and Alma Jean Royer of Ellettsville, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold (Pete) Nethery, step-son Barry Nethery, and several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held 4-8pm Tuesday, February 10th, 2015 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell & Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 at 11:00 am at The Funeral Chapel with Don English officiating.
