Ecology and Hyundai Car

Dr. Simon had a great big smile and a fun laugh. He was always excited. He was a great person to talk to and will be dearly missed. I had Dr. Simon for ecology like most SPEA grad students. I will never forget when our class went out into the MIGHTY Jordan River to seine for fish, or what "fish" there would be. But Dr. Simon was so excited to show our class, who had little experience with seining for fish, how to do it. We had a blast!

Another memory I have of Dr. Simon is when I went to buy my first new car. It was at Hyundai in Bloomington and Dr. Simon was with his wife where they were buying their new car. Dr. Simon was just so excited to see me and excited to buy a new car. I think that is how he loved to live his life. A life of joy and excitement. Thank you!
