Condolence: Mrs. Zonkle, as I knew her, was my 4th grade teacher back in 1975 at Spencer Elementary School. She was my favorite out of all the teachers I had in my school years. Even at an early age, I could tell that she loved what she did. I have fond memories of her reading "Where the red fern grows" to us all as a class and making the story come alive. I was saddened to hear of her passing and my thoughts are with her family.

Condolence: Bonnie and Sam, we were so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Our daughter, Christa, was in her third grade class and returned many years to help your mother get her classroom ready for the first day of school. She made a tremendous impact on Christa. Know that we all remember her fondly. We have made a contribution to the S-OCS teachers' fund at the Owen County Community Foundation in her memory. This fund provides a scholarship to an Owen Valley senior planning to become a teacher. I am sorry that I have no address for either of you to send a card or notification from the OCCF.
