Condolence: I worked with Dan in Indianapolis in the mid 1990s at Disability Determination. He was in my training class in 1992. Our class was together for a long time because they were rennivating new office spaces for us, and we were together - probably 3 or 4 months - when usually a class is together for only 2 months.

Even after we were broken up and sent to different units - we got together once a month as a group and had lunch. Dan loved spicy things, and I remember teasing him because he even put hot sauce on his dinner rolls. He gave me a recipe for a spicy potato dish that is really good. I make it ever so often.

I got married in 1994, and Dan gave me a special soap from India. He told me it would help keep my lovely complexion.

He always had a twinkle in his eye, and he was such a genuine soul. He left DDB, before I did, and we lost touch. For some reason, I was thinking about him and decided to Google him - and found his obituary.

I know it has been more than a year since his passing. However, I hope his family knows that he touched more lives than they might know. Blessings to you all.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about Dan passing on and extend my deepest condolences to Linda, Rebekah, and Chris. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your other family member at this time of sorrow. I didn’t know Dan well, but I remember him as a very nice person. Linda was a student in two of my classes at I.U. SLIS; Chris renewed my overdue books when he worked in the Wells Library Circulation Department; and Rebekah is a friend of my daughter, Suzanne. Take Care.

Condolence: Dan was/is a wonderful brother-in-law. We loved playing Chicken Feet with him and with Linda. We enjoyed gospel conversations and felt his deep faith in the Savior. He is all that Linda says he is -and an eternal, dear friend. How we will miss that twinkle!!! We love you, Dan!

Condolence: I am so sorry for the loss of Danappa Kamoji. Although I never met him personally, I know Linda and Chris, quite well, through our time working for the library. It's always sad to see a pillar of the family is loss but he has clearly left is mark on the world with a beautiful, caring and God fearing family. I will be sure to keep you in my heart during these rough times.

Lastly, I want to say that Linda and Dan's story is quite beautiful and I really enjoyed learning how long they shared such a wonderful life together.

Condolence: Linda,
Along with the profound sadness for you, Rebekah, family, and friends, I have a bit of laughter this morning as I read the obituary, which I could tell that you had written. I was laughing at the "stubborn" and the "mischievous" lines. Nice touch, and I know this was true. Beautiful tribute.

Our prayers are definitely with you and Rebekah.

Love,
John and Karen
(P.S. For those of you who don't know, I am Linda's little brother. She led me to Christ too.)
