Norma Joyce (Dyer) Bruce, 89, of Bloomington, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital surrounded by her family.
Norma was born January 14, 1929 in Evansville, Indiana. Her parents were the late James Herbert and Joyce Lovea (Cornelison) Dyer. Norma was active in music all of her life singing in various quartets and groups. She was an accomplished violinist. She was a homemaker. Norma was a member of the Scottish Society of Greater Bloomington. Rex and Norma assisted in founding Bruce International in 1984. She was a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Rex Bruce; daughter, Polly (Bruce) Tilford (John); 3 grandchildren; Bruce Charles Saulter, Rebecca Jill Saulter, and Aaron James Tilford; and 3 great grandchildren; Arissa Marie North, Aiden Michael Tharp and Jack Rex Saulter.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pamela (Bruce) Saulter and granddaughter; Sarah Beth Tilford.
Visitation for Norma will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard.
Services will follow at 1:00 pm with John Robertson officiating and burial at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
