Obituary for Oma Lee Feaster

Oma Lee Feaster, 88, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2018. She was born to the late Charles Lucas and Nellie Mattingly Lucas on November 1, 1930, in New Hope, Kentucky.

Oma will be remembered by family and friends for her love, kindness, generosity, and someone who knew no strangers. She was a caregiver to all. She and her husband were longtime members of the St. John Catholic Church in Bloomington. Oma was preceded in death by her husband, George Feaster, and her brothers Charles Lucas Jr., Wilson Lucas, and Curtis Lucas.

Survivors include Oma’s children Jean (Dave) Hall, Bill (Tina) Feaster, Ed (Rebecca) Feaster, Don (Marilyn) Feaster, Dennis “Mickey” (Linda) Feaster, Larry Feaster, and Steve (Christina) Feaster, her siblings Jim Lucas, Inez Lucas, Aline Lucas, and Geraldine Lucas, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held at The Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 4-8 pm with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am until service time at the church. A funeral service celebrating Oma’s life will be held at St. John the Apostle Church, 4607 W. State Road 46 Bloomington on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Garden following the service.

Donations may be made to Premier Hospice in lieu of flowers.
