Richard Brummett, 73, of Bloomington, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Stonecroft Health Campus surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born November 16, 1944 in Bloomington, Indiana and was the son of the late John and Nellie (Brown) Brummett.
Richard was a 1962 graduate of Bloomington High School and worked at R.C.A. and A.R.A. Services for several years before retiring from Cook Medical after 31 years. He was a member of Northside Christian Church, loved spending time with his family, playing golf and fishing.
Richard is survived by his wife Patty Brummett of Bloomington; son, Richie Brummett (Tina) of Solsberry; 2 step daughters, Ellen Zimmerman (Mike) of Raleigh, N.C. and Shari Prince (Toby) of Bloomington. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Chelsey Wagner (Seth), Callie Brummett, Madaline Vibbert, Cameron Prince, Colin Prince, Sam Toumey, Julia Toumey, and Jessica Zimmerman; and his sister, Martha Lockhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James E. Brummett and sister Judith Gatliff.
Services for Richard will be 10:00 am Friday, November 9 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel.
