Obituary for Robert Keith "Bob" Fox

Robert Keith (Bob) Fox, 83, passed away on November 7 with his wife, Sandra Fox, and his daughter Cindy Mann at his side.
Bob was known for his ability to weld or repair almost anything. Those in the neighborhood knew him as the humble repairman. He would always begin his work of mastery with a comment, “I’m not sure this will work” which would be followed by a flawless repair, that was usually better than the original design. His kindness in working with those in the neighborhood will not be forgotten.
Bob was born in Smithville, Indiana, on March 23, 1935 to Hershel and Doris Fox. Bob graduated from Smithville High School, and his photo is still hanging in Red Man hall, near the old Smithville High School building. Following graduation, Bob served in the United States Army, and later worked with his brother Dale, excavating, as a part of the Fox family business. Later, in retirement, he welded and sold several construction tools for the area, along with the repair and sales of lawn equipment. The garage was never in need of another project.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Dale his brother, and his son Tony. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra, his daughter Cindy, and son in law Robin Mann. Bob is also survived by his two grandsons Jason and Brent Mann, along with their wives, Jana and Rachel. Bob was blessed to enjoy the company of five great grandchildren, Kayden Bryan, Kenna Jo, Kenzington Belle, Kingston Matthew, Rosalyn Mae, and a little girl on the way.
