M. Helen (Sparks) May, age 83, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. She was the daughter of Roy and Bonnie (Anderson) Sparks, born on September 6, 1935 in Solsberry, Indiana. Helen was a homemaker after she retired in 1990 from AT&T. Helen Married Phillip May in Bloomington on March 26, 1955.
Helen is survived by her husband, Phillip, two children, Reed May (Joann) and Jeff May, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, and five sisters, Velma Flake, Lorene Fishel, Mary McQueary, Martha Walls, and Deloris (Dodie) White.
A private family service will be held at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Brownstown Central Football P.O.P.S. Club.
