Kenneth Leon Burks, 73, of Bloomington, passed away at home on November 18, 2018. He was born May 19, 1945. He was the son of the late Eugene and Wilma (Sims) Burks.
Ken graduated from Ellettsville High School in 1963 and from Indiana University in 1968. He taught and served as chair of the math department at Edgewood High School for many years before retiring.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Burks.
Ken is survived by his brothers, Ronald (Deborah) Burks, Donald (Bonnie) Burks, and Gordon (Terri) Burks; his sister-in-law, Janet Burks; nine nieces and nephews; and eleven great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at The Funeral Chapel, 3000 E. Third Street, Bloomington, on Tuesday, November 27, at 12:00 pm with Pastor Chris Minor officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Hendricksville.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Tuesday, November 27, at The Funeral Chapel.
