Daniel Eugene "Dan" Black, age 53, of Bloomington Indiana passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospital on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Dan was born on November 15, 1965 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Milton F. and Margaret L. (Maben) Black.
Dan enjoyed going out to the lake and he loved Nascar. He liked to work and would usually work seven days a week. He was often found helping others.
Dan is survived by his children, Nick Bixler (Savannah Coffey) and Jillian Bixler, grandchildren, Wesley and Aiden Bixler, siblings, Robin Snyder of Harrisburg, PA., Mike Maben of Lewistown PA., Melissa Gettys of Millerstown PA., and Robert Black (Heidi) of Mifflintown, PA., and eight nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Milton and Mary Black, and maternal grandparents, Albert and Delsie Maben.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Solsberry Christian Church, 10825 E. Christian Church Road, Solsberry, Indiana 47459.
Services are through The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
