Obituary for Rebecca S. "Beckie" (Kerr) Grounds
Rebecca S. "Beckie" (Kerr) Grounds, 75, of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday December 1, 2018 at Mitchell Manor in Mitchell, IN.
Beckie was born December 10, 1942 in Bloomington, IN and was the daughter of the late James and Margie (Eaton) Kerr. Beckie worked at Master Rental in Bloomington and had also worked as a loan originator at Old National Bank. She loved to travel and was a member of Smithville Christian Church.
Beckie was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Grounds (1995), companion, Larry K Deckard (2017), brother, Rick Kerr and great grandson, Wyatt.
Beckie is survived by her daughter Michele (Mark) Williams; two sons, David (Lisa) Grounds, and Mark (Stacy) Grounds; 6 grandchildren, Madison Williams, Brad Grounds, Ashley (Ben) Kiesel, Heather (Steve) Maddox, Olivia Grounds, and Scott McCauley; two great grandchildren, Waylon Dudley and Atticus McCauley; and Larry's children, Dawn (Tom) Kinser, Lisa (Brad) Bell, Richard Deckard and their families.
Services for Beckie will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard. Pastor Stephen Johnson will officiate the service and burial will be at a later date at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Greene County.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until service time at The Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Beckie's memory to The American Cancer Society.
