Obituary for Susan Ann "Susie" Norris
Susan Ann "Susie" Norris, 62, passed away on Sunday December 9, 2018 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital after a brief illness with her husband Ralph by side. Susan was born June 13, 1956 in Bloomington and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Betty (Skinner) Grubb.
Susan worked at Indiana University for 35 years. She liked to play bingo and was the family gardener. While never having any children of her own, Susan loved all of her nieces and nephews and all children like they were hers.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years Ralph Norris; two sisters, Shelly Grubb and Diane (Bob) Buchanan; two brothers, Mark Grubb and Tom Grubb; 3 godchildren, Samantha Norris, Nariah Blount, and Nate Peck, along with many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Danny Grubb and Tim Grubb and niece Crystal Grubb.
Services for Susan will be 1:00 pm Monday December 17, 2018 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington. Pastor Don Griffin will officate the service and burial will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
