Obituary for Stephen M. Moon
Stephen M. Moon, 61, passed away on December 15th, 2018 at Garden Villa in Bedford, Indiana after a year-long battle with medical complications from work related injuries. He was born on August 12, 1957, in Indianapolis, IN to Jacqueline and Clarence Moon. Stephen was an Eagle Scout with Boys Scouts of America, Troop 125, Indianapolis. He attended Scecina Memorial High School, graduating in 1975. In 2002, Stephen completed his associates degree to become an ironworker and welder. He proudly worked with the Ironworkers Local Union 22 for 20 years.
Steve was survived by his mother, Jacqueline Moon of Indianapolis, his four daughters Karen Survant of Wilkinson, IN, Angela Kleptz of Bloomington, IN, Kristen Moon of Greenwood, IN, and Amy Moon of Indianapolis, IN, one son, William Moon of Nashville, IL and ten grandchildren.
A casual visitation will be held at The Funeral Chapel in Bloomington, IN on Thursday December 20th from 4-6 pm with an opportunity to share memories at 5pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to Abate of Indiana, Inc or Almost Heaven Farm Animal Sanctuary in Stephen’s name.
