Obituary for Mary Ellen Hudson Hendricks (Keller)

Mary Ellen (Keller) Hudson Hendricks, 88 of Whitehall, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the IU Health Hospice House. Born May 2, 1930 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Hattie Keller.
Mary was a loving mother and grandmother who was a member of Union Church of Solsberry and also attended the Whitehall Wesleyan Church. She was an avid reader, doing fill in puzzles, bird watching and loved her flowers. She retired from Bloomington Hospital in June of 2000.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy King (Dave) of Bloomington; one son, Rusty Hudson (Jo Ann) of Solsberry; one step-grandson, Paul Hudson (Tracy) of Bloomfield (whom she and her husband, Russell raised from infancy); also two step-daughters, Joyce Hays (Bruce) of Whitehall and Jeanna Hudson of Bloomington; one step son, Michael Hendricks (Kathy) of Spencer, and one sister-in-law, Marjorie Keller of Whitehall, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Hudson; husband John Hendricks, two step sons, J.D. Hudson and Steven Hendricks; five brothers, Paul, Russell, Don, Bob and Ronnie Keller, and one granddaughter, Casey Lynn Hudson.
Visitation for Mary will be held 4-8pm Wednesday, January 30th, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell & Deckard, 3000 E. Third St., in Bloomington. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Thursday, January 31st at The Funeral Chapel with an hour of calling prior to the service. Reverend Danny Hillenburg will officiate. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
