I was friends with Annie mostly in "junior high," Tecumseh days, 7th grade & perhaps somewhat earlier than that. Lived not far from her, on 11th St. Spent the night at her house a couple times. Then my family moved out to Philadelphia. My return for my senior year left me with remembering some kids, but they were now 4 yrs. older. I remember Annie's laugh, and being friends in those days of growing up. My condolences to her loving family.

I work at Frank Southern Ice Arena. Annie was a regular noon-time skater. She was such an angel, always complementing the staff and bringing us little gifts. She particularly loved it when I made popcorn for concessions. She will be missed!

A few springs ago, I became acquainted with Annie at the Frank Southern Center where she would go on weekday afternoons to ice skate. Just came up and introduced herself. Annie was a fine skater. Graceful, quietly confident. Occasionally, we'd converse while I was lacing up. I notice this morning in the paper that many of her favorite activities involved movement and a sense of inner peace. If she was searching, I hope she arrived.
