Travis Tyler Mechling, age 35, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at his residence on Friday, March 29, 2019. He was born on February 25, 1984 in Bloomington to James Mechling and Barbara Hatton (Hurst).Travis graduated from Lincoln Technical. He worked at Midas in Bloomington and enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic. He also enjoyed fishing, playing video games, boating, camping, hiking, shooting guns, and spending time in Brown County. Most of all, Travis loved his family very much. Almost everything that Travis did would include his family.
Travis is survived by his loving wife, Christina (Petty) Mechling, daughter, Savanna Mechling, son, Tyler Mechling, parents, James Mechling and Barbara Hatton, brothers, Wyatt and Justin Hatton, several nieces and nephews, and several aunts and uncles.
Travis was preceded in death by his step-dad, Steven Hatton, maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation for Travis will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, with burial to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington. Pastor Michael Swearingin will officiate.
