Obituary for Donald E. Fleener
Donald Eugene Fleener, 91, of Bloomington, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at his residence. Don was born October 7, 1927 in Unionville and was the son of the late David Michael and Bertha (Richardson) Fleener.
Don worked for many years as a salesman for Leonard’s Linen Service and was a longtime member of the Unionville Church of Christ where he served as an Elder. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army.
Don is survived by his son Michael Fleener; two grandsons, Josh Cain and Brandon Cain.
Preceding Don in death were his wife Carrie Annabelle Fleener (2002); his parents; 4 sisters, Ethel Ward, Ruth Richardson, Edith Richardson, and Crease Pearl Poling; 5 brothers, Floyd Fleener, Wayne Fleener, Lon Flener, Byron Fleener, and Warren Fleener.
Graveside services for Don will be Tuesday April 23, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Little Union Cemetery with Brother Allen Ketchersid officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Don’s memory to Unionville Church of Christ.
