Oh I’m so sad to hear about Karla. I hold many, many fun memories of sleepovers, dancing, laughing, and just having fun. Karla introduced me to late night movies, like Planet of the Apes. And I remember her rescuing a pet raccoon. She was an awesome friend. So sorry to Karla’s family for your loss. - Tina (Combs) Burke

I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing. We worked together at DMHA. She was always so sweet and kind. The last time we spoke she told me to never stop smiling because I never knew how my smile affected others. I will always remember those words. She asked me to share some things I did for myself to keep smiling. I shared with her how I meditate and try to focus on the present, nothing else. Her presence, her smile and pleasant conversations will be treasured and missed by many of us. God keep her in her travel to a much better place. Prayers for your family in your time of mourning. May God give you peace and comfort in His time.
