Obituary for Ron L. Dyer
Ron L. Dyer, 75, Indianapolis, IN, former Bloomington resident, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Ron was born February 20, 1944 in Bloomington, IN the son of Riley and Effie (Capps) Dyer.
Ron was retired from Value City Furniture in Indianapolis, IN and manager of Blue Sky Trading Company in Bloomington, IN. He was a graduate of Bloomington High School, attended Indiana University School of Music and Los Angeles City College and was a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Ron had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.
Survived by, His loving wife of 45 years, Charlotte (New) Dyer of Indianapolis, IN; children, Renee Dyer of Cloverdale, IN, Rachelle Burgess of Indianapolis, IN, Dean Grubb of Bloomington, IN and Michael Dyer of Indianapolis, IN; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Homer and Bob Dyer; sister, Dovie Jerrell and his parents, Riley and Effie (Capps) Dyer.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May17, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard 3000 E. Third St. Bloomington, IN. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at The Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Les Rovenstine officating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, IN.
