Obituary for Francis Edward Harding Jr.
Francis Edward Harding, Jr., age 87, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer, Indiana. He was born on March 6, 1932 in Stinesville, Indiana to Francis Edward Harding, Sr. and Joan (Swafford) Harding.
Francis served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Indiana University Building and Grounds Department. He was a faithful member of the Pentecostal faith.
Francis is survived by a sister, Linda (Ron) Eads of Bloomington, IN, brothers, Charles (Joyce) Harding and Robert (Alice) Harding both of Bloomington, sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Matlock of Bloomington and Betty Deckard of Bedford, Indiana and many nieces and nephews.
Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rosella Arthur Harding in 1999, his parents, two brothers and their wives, Paul L. Harding (Laura Mae) and Marvin Dean (Wilma) Harding, brothers-in-law, Lionel Deckard, Don Matlock, and Pete Arthur, mother-in-law, Pansy Arthur, nephews, Ronson Eads, Ron Eads, Jr., Rob Covey and Charlie Johnson, and niece, Linda Lou Harding.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Heltonville, Indiana, with Rev. Jack Bruce Kelly officiating.
