Obituary for Helen Doris Sparks
Helen Doris Sparks, 98, of Bloomington passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Richland Bean Blossom Health Care Center. Doris was born June 11, 1921 in Boone County, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Olive (Crane) Emmert.
Doris was a homemaker most of her life but had also worked for Van Buren School. Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook for her family and friends and she enjoyed needlepoint.
Doris is survived by her 2 sons; Dick Sparks, and Danny (Debbie) Sparks; 3 grandchildren, Scott Sparks, Nicole Orlando, and Chris Sparks; and 5 great grandchildren, Daniel Sparks, Andrew Sparks, Ava Orlando, Elle Orlando, and Georgia Orlando.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Sparks, and her parents.
Private family services will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
