Obituary for Wanda Walls

Wanda Walls, age 66, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2019 while surrounded by family. Wanda passed after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 30, 1952 in Bloomington to Ralph and Margaret Louise (Harris) Walls. Wanda loved cooking and trying new recipes, and working outside planting flowers. She loved plants so much that she would often times leave some at the end of her driveway to share with others. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed taking trips with her sisters. She was very kind to everyone she met. Wanda worked at Indiana University for over 30 years, before retiring at the end of last year.
Wanda is survived by her daughters, Michelle Fleetwood (Todd Swarthout), Stefanie Phillips (Kent), and Alissa Fleetwood (Josh Parr). Grandchildren, Andrea Phillips, Scarlett Swarthout, Benjamin Parr, and James Clifton Brown III. Sisters, Janet Tupper (Bruce), Karen Troth (Eddie), Phyllis Presson (David), Brenda Ault, and Cheryl Finley (Dennis), and sister-in-law, Glora Walls. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Norman Walls, brother-in-law, Todd Ault, and nephew, Tony Troth.
Visitation for Wanda will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, July 5, 2019 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at The Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Stepp Cemetery in Morgan County, Indiana. Pastor Les Rovenstine will officiate.
